The Fugate Woods workday was a great success again. Forty volunteers from toddler to senior planted 1200 shrub/tree seedling along the west bank of Indian Creek, north of the water treatment plant. It was a beautiful morning, and everyone enjoyed a picnic lunch following under the great prairie sky. The project to restore the riparian habitat was made possible with funds provided to Prairie Lands Foundation by Trees Forever and earned by the hours of faithful volunteer service. |
