An Easter Walk in the Woods

The woods are teaming with life!

Easter was a beautiful day for a walk in the woods, taking in the luscious wonders of spring life. Natural wonders spotted include:

  • Bloodroot

  • Dutchman's Breetches

  • Spring Beauties

  • Yellow and white Trout Lilies

  • Frog chorus at the vernal pools

  • Wood Ducks at the vernal pools

  • A pair of Mallards

  • A trio of Muskrats

  • Brown Thrashers

  • Hairy Woodpeckers

  • Robins

  • Redwing Blackbirds

  • Black-capped Chickadee

  • Blue Jays

  • Eastern Phoebe

  • Nuthatch

  • King Fisher

  • Great Blue Heron

  • American Kestrel

  • Least Flycatcher

  • Ruphous-Sided Towhee, and

  • Yellow Rumped Warbler

....What a great day for a walk in Fugate Woods!
